DAY 01 - LIMA - PUNOLAKE
Arrival transfer to local hotel in Puno, remain of the day free to explore. Puno is considered the Folklore Capital of Peru due to the great diversity of folk dances and music, the top festivities are during the week of Candelari in February. Puno is the stepping off point for exploring the region's amazing array of islands, Indian Inhabitants and colorful traditions.
DAY 02 - PUNO - LAKE TITICACA
Morning take a motorboat excursions over lake Titicaca or as the Incas called it "Divine Lake". This lake has an altitude of 12,580 feet and it is the highest navigable waterway in the world. You will tour the floating reed islands famous in Lake Titicaca. These small floating islands artificially built with totora reeds. They are inhabited by small organized Indian communities. The Uros Indians are mainly fishermen and hunter of marine birds, but they also have small farmlands in those floating lakes for growing different vegetables. In the afternoon tour the funerary towers of Sillustani, where the
ancient Aymaras buried their priests in cylinder- shaped tombs.
DAY 03 - PUNO- LIMA OR NEXT DESTINATION
This morning transfer to the airport for you short flight back to Lima
